Young Ronda Rousey Rips the Arm Off a Teddy Bear in UFC 193 Promo

Ronda Rousey will defend her title at UFC 193 on November 14th in Melbourne, Australia. Because Rousey is a proven PPV-selling commodity, and thus, one of the few fighters the UFC truly cares about, they produced this great promo video. It features Rousey and opponent Holly Holm as young girls, falling in love with combat sports. The highlight being Rousey ripping the arm off a teddy bear with an arm bar. If only there were actual VHS footage of this happening.

As for the PPV next month, Rousey appears set up for a big night. UFC 192 took place this weekend and now they’re taking a full three weeks off between events. They have a Fightpass show on October 24th and then a free show on FOX Sports 1 on November 7th. By the time UFC 193 rolls around, the UFC won’t have asked for $59.99 for a pay-per-view in 6 full weeks. I’m not even sure Ronda Rousey was wrestling stuffed animals the last time that happened. Impressive restraint or pure coincidence?

The list of Rousey accomplishments also grew this week as she became the first woman to ever grace the cover of Men’s Fitness Australia. This probably doesn’t make the list of her top 10 glass ceiling-breaking accomplishments, but it’s something.

I guess the moral of this story is – Don’t be a Do Nothing Bear.
