Canadian Teenage Hockey Player Hit in Head By Opponent's Full-Swing Slash
This video comes from an amateur hockey game in Quebec over the weekend between. The best I can understand, this was a bantam CC game, which is an amateur level for 13 and 14-year olds. I’m not even sure if they allow body-checking in this division.
The video starts with the kid in the white jersey hitting an opponent wearing a dark jersey in the leg with his stick. It doesn’t look that serious, but the kid in the dark jersey reacts violently, swinging at the other kid’s head. The stick may have connected with the shoulder first, but the kid in white went down hard while the kid in the dark jersey calmly skated to the penalty box. No word on what has to be a very long suspension.
