Phil Mickelson Holes Out from Fairway Bunker at Presidents Cup

Is Phil Mickelson the best bunker player ever? The guy just keeps making ridiculous bunker shots. During the first round foursome matches, Phil holed out from bunker on the 13th. On Friday, during four-ball play, he did it again, except this time it was from a fairway bunker on the 12th hole.

Mickelson had been penalized twice on one hole earlier in the round for playing a different ball and then not finishing the hole. There was a lot of confusion as to whether or not Phil was given the correct information on the course. Phil was told that he was disqualified from the hole after playing a different ball, which meant it wouldn’t matter if he finished the hole or not, only apparently it did matter because Phil was penalized again for not finishing the hole and the International team of Adam Scott and Jason Day went up two.

Zach Johnson and Phil erased that deficit and went up one after Phil’s magnificent bunker shot.
