Texans Player Retweeted a Newspaper Writer's Negative Comment About the Team

As everybody’s well aware, things are bleak for the Houston Texans, who are off to a 1-4 start. Nevertheless, it was a bit strange when linebacker Whitney Mercilus retweeted this accurate-but-unflattering tweet from Houston Chronicle writer and Sports Radio 610 contributor John McClain.

Though it was deleted soon thereafter, CBS Houston nabbed a screengrab. If it hasn’t happened already, Mercilus will presumably catch an earful for this from his coaching staff, but again it’s not like he passed along an untruth.
