NFL Doesn't Want to Talk About The Running Clock That Nearly Screwed the Steelers

Le'Veon Bell scored a touchdown as time expired to push the Steelers past the San Diego Chargers on Monday Night Football. Time ran out because somebody ran the clock from 2:56 down to 2:38 following a kickoff. Nobody noticed. Nothing was done to fix the clock. The game continued. The Steelers won. No big deal. OK? Nothing to see here. Just move on with your life. We’re not talking about this. Neither is the NFL.

Of course, you could also argue that the Chargers lost out on a final possession… Not that the LOCAL clock operator would mind.

If only the Patriots had been involved.
