Craig “Ironhead” Heyward played 11 seasons in the NFL. In 2006, at the age of 39, Heyward lost his battle with cancer. His son, Cam Heyward, is in his fifth season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. On Monday, Cam wrote IRON HEAD on his eyeblack as a tribute to his father. Yesterday, it was announced the NFL would fine DeAngelo Williams if he wore pink accessories outside October as a season-long tribute to his mother who died of cancer. The NFL remains tone deaf about everything.
