Brian Hoyer ran the ball, started a slide, and got sandwiched between two defenders. He was face first in the ground after rolling over. Because a penalty was called on the play, he was allowed to remain in the game without sitting out at least one play. How does this not automatically dictate being checked for a concussion? Ryan Mallett started to come on the field, but Hoyer stayed in, and threw a touchdown to DeAndre Hopkins a few plays later.
