Missouri vs. Vanderbilt Has Lowest Over/Under Line Since 2004

The Missouri Tigers and Vanderbilt Commodores play football this weekend. This game may not be one for the offensive-inclined. It could be Boston College vs. Wake Forest bad, or, depending on your narrative lean, a true testament to S-E-C defense.
Both teams have brutal offenses. Vanderbilt (13.8 ppg) and Missouri (13.7 ppg) rank 123rd and 124th respectively in scoring offensive vs. FBS teams. Know Huddle’s SOS-adjusted offense ranks Vanderbilt at 114th and Missouri at 121st.
Both are quite solid defensively. Looking at scoring defense vs. FBS teams, Missouri (14.5 ppg) ranks 6th nationally. Vanderbilt (20.8 ppg) ranks 26th. Missouri ranks 6th in SOS adjusted defense. Vanderbilt ranks 29th.
What happens when these teams all defense, no offense teams collide? An extremely low over/under total.

The lowest over/under line during the 2014 season was the infamous Virginia Tech vs. Wake Forest game at 38, which hit the under. This game’s 34 is the lowest over/under in a college football game since the Ohio State vs. Penn State game in 2004. OSU won 21-10 hitting the under.
