4 Dead, 34 Injured After Car Crashes into Oklahoma State Homecoming Parade [UPDATE]

At least three people were killed and 22 others others injured when a vehicle ran into a crowd of people at Oklahoma State’s homecoming parade earlier today.

"Witnesses tell News On 6 it was terrifying as a car crashed into parade watchers at high speed. The car was not part of the parade but was on Hall of Fame before crashing into crowds on Main Street. A motorcyclist was also hit, and we’re hearing reports it may have been a police unit."

The undefeated Cowboys host Kansas later this afternoon in Stillwater.

The Stillwater News Press has some disturbing first-hand accounts from eyewitnesses.

"Konda Walker, from Anchorage, Alaska, a 1991 OSU alum, was in town to enjoy the homecoming festivities. “At first we thought it was part of the show,” Walker said. “People were flying 30 feet into the air like rag dolls.” Dave Kapple, Houston, Texas, was here to enjoy the festivities with his son. “We were probably 10 feet away, when the vehicle came barreling through. We heard somebody scream, ‘Look out!.’ (He) plowed through a police motorcycle, and then a crowd of people,” Kapple said. “People were flying everywhere.” “I was sitting right here and she came plowing through,” Larry Smith, a parade goer said. “All I saw was bodies flying, kids flying. It was horrible.”"

UPDATE: A fourth person, age 2, has also died.

"Via AP: Police have released the name of the woman arrested on a DUI charge after the crash that killed four people at the Oklahoma State University homecoming game. Stillwater police say the woman taken into custody is 25-year-old Adacia Chambers. They didn’t identify her hometown."
