Tiger Woods, who is ranked 351st in the world golf rankings, is still the most valuable sports brand? According to Forbes, Tiger’s brand is valued at $30 million. As Alex Myers of Golf Digest pointed out, “that number isn’t how much he earned in endorsements in 2015, but how much more he earned than the average endorsement income of the top 10 earners in his sport.”

Just behind Tiger are Phil Mickelson at $28 million and LeBron James and Roger Federer at $27 million. To top it off, Woods’ brand dropped by $6 million dollars thanks to other young golfers, namely Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth, increasing their endorsement worth.

"Woods added endorsement deals with MusclePharm and India’s Hero motorcycles in 2014, but his brand value fell by $6 million from last year due to an increase in the endorsement income of golfers like Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy."

As Kyle Porter of CBS Sports noted, it’s only a matter of time before Jordan Spieth appears on the list. Spieth has been collecting endorsement deals quickly since snatching up his first green jacket at the Masters, signing with AT&T and Rolex on top of his Under Armour contract.
