Dylan Sadowy, a 19-year old Canadian, was selected in the 3rd round of the 2014 NHL Early Entry Draft by the San Jose Sharks. Sadowy is currently lighting up the scoreboard for the Saginaw Spirit of the OHL. During a recent game against the Mississauga Steelheads, Sadowy lost his mind and threw a punch at opponent Mikey McLeod.

Throwing a punch in a hockey game is not unusual, but throwing a punch from the bench is extremely rare. Throw in the fact that this didn’t come in the flow of the game, but during a shootout and you’ve got one of the most unusual and unexpected punches in the history of the sport. (Most hyperbole ever? Definitely.)

Sadowy was given a game misconduct and shown the door. He has not received any further discipline from the league. Sadowy is 4th in the OHL in scoring with 9 goals and 8 assists through 12 games.
