Roddy Piper, who sadly passed away earlier this year at the age of 61, was quite the rabble-rouser. WWE shared this clip today of Piper bringing up the Mets to a crowd at Madison Square Garden on October 20, 1986. Because the Mets were down 2-0 to the Red Sox, it appears as though everybody presumed that Piper was about to pour salt in their wounds. Instead of taunting them, Piper started yelling like a maniac (which was his thing) about how the Mets had a shot. He sure did know how to get the people going.

The Mets once again find themselves down 2-0 in the World Series now, and a certain TBL editor would be crushed if history repeated itself.
