St. Thomas won the MIAC championship and a spot in the Division III playoffs thanks to an 80-3 victory over Carleton on Saturday. This incredible two-point conversion came after the Tommies’ first touchdown made the score 6-3, so you don’t have to do any sportsmanship-related hand-wringing. Holder Charlie Dowdle flung a no-look pass behind his back to Matt Christianson in the end zone.

When you take a step back, it’s actually a really stupid play design. But the results speak for themselves.

Only a religious school would have enough faith to try this.
