Ian McIntosh, a veteran skier, was filming a video in Alaska’s Neacola range when he went over a five-foot trench and was sent into a freefall that must have felt like certain death for him at the time. A minute into the clip, you can hear the understandable relief in his voice when he exclaims that he’s okay. After this experience, every small thing in his life over the next few days must have felt like the greatest thing ever.
