Russell Westbrook Not That Impressed With Marcus Smart After One Game

Russell Westbrook and the Thunder lost at home to the Boston Celtics on Sunday. Westbrook spent most of the game matched up with Boston’s Marcus Smart. Smart finished with 26 points on 9-of-14 shooting, eight rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a block. Westbrook scored 27 points on 5-of-20 shooting, four rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two blocks. It was a comparable game for two very versatile guards. After the game, Westbrook was asked about Smart’s game. The 4-time All-Star wasn’t exactly impressed.

I’m sure this quote was just taken out of context and the humble Westbrook was actually very complimentary of the 2nd-year guard.

Nope. Just Russ being Russ. Westbrook has been doing this for the better part of a decade. Marcus Smart has a long way to go before people can make an real comparisons.
