Monmouth stunned Notre Dame, 70-68,yesterday in the first round of the AdvoCare Invitational. The Hawks were understandably jubilant upon returning to their locker room after the game. That excitement manifested itself in one of the more comical victory celebrations you’ll ever see.
Look, there’s nothing wrong with the stir-the-pot routine. It is, however, a sin to ruin a perfectly good Thanksgiving appetite on non-traditional foods. Of course, a “turkey basting” dance could come off as a bit awkward.
The upset victory was the Hawks’ second this season. Earlier this month, they knocked off Notre Dame and handled the moment like this:
