Shane Simmons, a 4-star defensive end out of Maryland, committed to Penn State over the summer. Last night, Nittany Lions coach James Franklin and an assistant visited Simmons’ home last night and were greeted with the Pittsburgh Penguins’ old goal song and a bunch of people waving Penn State colored balloons and pom poms. This is an obvious ploy for playing time as a freshman. Let’s see how it works out for him.
