Russell Wilson was sacked by Brian Robison, and the only thing that hit down clearly on replay was Wilson’s elbow. Robison did not know that, so when Wilson immediately bounced up, and tried to run away, Robison held on to his leg until the whistles were heard. Wilson, by the way, continued to skip toward the end zone even after that as if he thought he wasn’t down.

We’ve seen plays where the player wasn’t down, and defenders assumed he was, rolling over a pile and such. If a player takes off, probably should lose the protection as the defenders are in a bad spot. Here, Robison could be seen telling the referee that he didn’t know if Wilson was down.

Instead of a second and long after a sack, Seattle got a first down and scored a touchdown.
