The World Surf League has seen its share of close calls this year. In July, Mick Fanning fended off a shark attack. This scary moment involving the surfer Kai Lenny happened in the Pe’ahi Challenge in Maui. Per the WSL’s official Twitter account, the surfer and the ski driver are thankfully both okay.
