Cowboys' Byron Jones Casually Popped His Knee Back in Place, Continued Playing
By Kyle Koster
Dallas Cowboys cornerback Byron Jones tackled New York Jets receiver Quincy Enunwa during the first half last night. It was a routine play. The resulting injury and self-healing that resulted from it, however, was rather unique.
Jones’ dislocated left knee was painfully noticeable to viewers at home. Instead of panicking like a mere mortal he quickly popped it back into place and continued playing.
"Afterwards, Jones said he had never had something like that happen before but shrugged it off as a byproduct of his flexibility. “It just felt stuck for a little bit. I just straightened it out and it felt good,” he said in the postgame locker room. “I didn’t notice it was over to the side. I felt it stuck a little bit, so I just slowly straightened it and it just felt good from there.”"
Stretching: it’s important.
