It turns out Ron Jaworksi’s sources were wrong. Odell Beckham’s one-game suspension was upheld by appeals officer James Thrash this afternoon. The New York Giants wide receiver won’t play in Sunday night’s game against the Minnesota Vikings as a result of his helmet-to-helmet hit on Josh Norman.

Beckham issued an apology on Twitter shortly before Thrash issued his decision. In it, he says he “dropped the ball on sportsmanship.”

And so ends the Beckham-Norman-Giants-Panthers saga. Or does it?

As disappointed as the Giants organization and fans are, it’s nothing compared to millions of fantasy football players who will won’t have access to one of the most productive players in the league for championship weekend.

UPDATE: Beckham has issued a longer apology.
