Cam Newton, Josh Norman, and the Panthers Are Polarizing
This week’s podcast guest is Bill Voth, who writes the Panthers blog Black and Blue Review. We started by talking about the under-discussed Josh Norman/Odell Beckham feud from last week. Later, we discussed whether the Panthers would rest their starters or go for 16-0 if they had home field advantage wrapped up, Cam Newton’s durability, and whether it’s understandable that the Panthers are an unlikable team from a national perspective. Finally, as Voth grew up as a Browns fan, we got his take on Johnny Manziel.
In the portion where it was just the two of us, we reacted in real-time to Jaws’ incorrect scoop that Odell Beckham’s suspension would be overturned. We also talked about our memories of Charles Woodson, the Peyton Manning/Brock Osweiler dynamic, whether this will be Drew Brees’ last home game in New Orleans, and the possibly-deteriorating dynamic between Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy. Have a happy holiday!
