"KO-BE, KO-BE!!!!" Chants Rang Throughout Boston as He Hit Game-Clinching Three-Pointer
By Rob Perez
That’s not a typo: The name of the legendary villain of the dreaded Los Angeles Lakers BELTED throughout the TD Garden as the 14-point underdogs upset the Celtics IN BOSTON on Wednesday Night.
Kobe Bryant hit a massive, game-clinching three from off the TV screen late in the fourth quarter:
And then the “KO-BE, KO-BE, KO-BE!!!!!” chants started, and were audible — to say the least…
I don’t care how many LA fans were in attendance, a Boston crowd cheering on a Laker is the most blasphemous thing I’ve seen since the boxing ring in Russia turned on Ivan Drago and started rooting on Rocky.
Regardless, it was a pretty damn cool moment — and an emotional Mamba knew it as he waved goodbye to his franchise’s blood rivals for the final time:

Back in the studio, TWCSN Studio Host James Worthy was HYPED about the big win for his former club:
Take a bow, Mamba, you deserve it…
