Matt Barnes Explained Why His 2015 Was Awful in a Long Instagram Post

Let’s face facts. Matt Barnes did not have a good 2015. He was traded from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Memphis Grizzlies. He and Rihanna had a public disagreement about the nature of their relationship. And, oh yeah, he got into a physical confrontation with New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher due to a messy love triangle situation.
Barnes took to Instagram to recount all the horrible things that happened to him — or happened because of him — over the past calendar year. It’s so lengthy he should have put a #longreads hashtag on it. Despite all his current grievances, Barnes is looking forward to 2016 because “God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers!!!”
A betting man would have to agree this year has a good chance to be an improvement. There are only so many coaches in the leagues with whom to brawl.
