The New York Giants are parting ways with Tom Coughlin, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Coughlin posted a 102-90 record in 12 seasons with the team and led them to Super Bowl titles in 2007 and 2011. The team has missed the playoffs in each season since and just finished a second-straight 6-10 campaign.

Speculation that the Giants were poised to move on from Coughlin had escalated in recent weeks despite widespread backing from players. At 69-years-old, it’s unlikely he’ll land elsewhere.

Before coming to New York, Coughlin led the expansion Jacksonville Jaguars to the post season in four of the franchise’s first five seasons.
