Alabama is favored by somewhere between 5.5 and 7 points over undefeated Clemson in the College Football National Championship Game that will take place on Monday night. While it is the job of oddsmakers to set a line that draws betting on both teams and not opine on who they think will win, Clemson’s underdog status still bothers some people, including linebacker Travis Blanks. Via SEC Country:

"“You go back to every big game we played this year, we were underdogs,” redshirt junior Travis Blanks said. “Notre Dame, Florida State, just go down the list. Some people picked us as an underdog in the ACC Championship against North Carolina. Oklahoma, this year and last year. It’s just all bologna.”"

While Clemson fans agree with the sentiment, grandmothers of all fan bases can get behind the word choice. For the record, Clemson was favored by 2 over Notre Dame (a push), favored by 11.5 over Florida State, and favored by 6 over North Carolina. They were, though, an underdog against Oklahoma.
