Alabama Executed a Perfect Onside Kick, Nick Saban Actually Smiled

After knotting things up at 24-24 in the fourth quarter, Nick Saban dialed up one of the gutsiest onside kick calls you’ll ever see. His gamble paid off as Alabama recovered the attempt and scored on a long touchdown pass a few plays later.
The successful trickery may prove to be a championship-deciding play. Perhaps more importantly, though, it accomplished the near impossible: getting Saban to flash an in-game smile.
