These odds for Sunday’s WWE Royal Rumble were first assembled for David Shoemaker and Peter Rosenberg from ESPN’s Cheap Heat podcast by Jason Simbal from Las Vegas bookmaker CG Technology, and he was nice enough to also send them along to TBL. Simbal’s rationale for installing Triple H as the odds-on favorite over Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar was that for the past few weeks WWE has been “so intentionally failing to mention him in any context.”

A couple other things stand out to me: While I don’t think that Bray Wyatt is the most likely to win the Rumble, I think he’s pretty good value at 14-1. Daniel Bryan as the fourth most likely was surprising to me because he still hasn’t been medically cleared (though that could just be what they want us to think), and because it’s a risk to put the belt on him when he’s been seriously injured twice in the past two years.

AJ Styles, who is a new signee (or is about to be) that’s thrived in Ring of Honor and New Japan, is an intriguing option at 20-1. Here are the full odds:

People I’d personally like to win: Bray Wyatt, AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, Big E from the New Day, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Cesaro, or Samoa Joe. If anyone from the League of Nations—Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus, Rusev, or King Barrett—wins I won’t be happy, nor will I be if it’s Dean Ambrose, Big Show, Kane, Chris Jericho, or Ryback. Nevertheless, what’ll be’ll be.
