Minor League Hockey Player Gets Knocked Out, Smashes Face on Ice, Leaves on Stretcher

Brian McGrattan, like All-Star captain John Scott, is an NHL journeyman who is employed as an enforcer. McGrattan is currently with the AHL’s San Diego Gulls. On Tuesday night he had his 5th fight of the season according to HockeyFights.com. This one was against the San Antonio Rampage’s Daniel Maggio.

As you can see in the disturbing video below, Maggio knocked McGrattan out cold. McGrattan dropped and smashed his face on the ice where he remained motionless until he was eventually taken off the ice on a stretcher.
