Duquesne’s men’s basketball team tried to avoid any trouble it might have with 2016’s version of the Snowpocalypse and it may have turned into one of the great all-time backfires.

The Dukes rescheduled their 4 p.m. Saturday game against George Mason for 2 p.m. on Friday in order to get it over with before being stranded in Fairfax, Virginia. The good news? They aren’t stuck in Fairfax. The bad? They’re stuck on the the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Duquesne topped George Mason 86-75 on Friday then piled back onto their bus for the trip back home to Pittsburgh. As of now they’ve been on that bus for 24 hours.

Below is a series of tweets from official Duquesne Twitter accounts. All I can say is at least they seem to be having fun with the situation.

Looks like the Dukes are set for another long night. We’ll keep you updated on what happens to them. Or heck, if you’re in their area, why not stop by and bring them some supplies? It’s not like they’re going anywhere.
