What could be the final matchup of Tom Brady versus Peyton Manning (pending word about Manning returning or retiring) drew immense viewer interest. According to a release by CBS of the overnight ratings, it drew a 31.8, which is the highest overnight in an AFC Championship Game since January 11, 1987. That, of course, was the first of two matchups between Denver and Cleveland, and is the game that produced “The Drive.”

While this one might not spawn a memorable name, it did provide drama to the end, with a tying two-point attempt getting intercepted. What it didn’t provide was offensive fireworks, as Von Miller was the star of the show. Brady and Manning combined to complete exactly half their passes for 5.5 yards per attempt on the day.
