Tim Howard may be on his way to MLS. Multiple reports have him linked with a move to the Colorado Rapids at the end of this season. Everton coach Roberto Martinez said he had not yet received a bid.

The potential deal should work out for everyone. Howard has been a mainstay at Everton for a decade. But, Everton’s defense (34 goals in 23 league matches) has been abysmal. Much of the criticism has been directed at the 36-year-old Howard. Everton may be looking to move on. His star power is still a value stateside.

Howard started his career in MLS. He played 88 MLS matches for the New York Metrostars before moving to Manchester United in 2003. At the moment, he is one of very few high-profile, American born players playing regularly in one of Europe’s top four leagues.
