50 Percent of Recruits Who Had Sleepover with Jim Harbaugh Commit to Michigan
By Kyle Koster

Jim Harbaugh’s unorthodox sleepover recruiting tour garnered great attention. After all, who wouldn’t find a top college football coach bunking up with a high schooler for the night compelling on some level?
Now that National Signing Day is here we’re able to see the fruits of this practice and analyze the data to decide the efficacy of the method.
Quinn Nordin, Harbaugh’s first slumber party partner, has committed to Michigan. The nation’s top kicker was clearly impressed by the way Harbaugh slept in his sister’s room. In case you’re curious — and we know you are — the coach claimed the bed he slept on at the Nordin house was one of the most comfortable places he’s ever laid his sweet head.
Jim Harbaugh on sleep over at Quinn Nordin's: "One of most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. It was his sister's room. She wasn't there."

Sadly, though, it seems spending the night with a recruit does not guarantee a commitment. Connor Murphy, the four-star defensive end from Phoenix who “Netflixed and Chilled” with Harbaugh, has opted to play his college ball at USC.

Kids these days. You Netflix and Chill with them one time and they never call you again.
So there you have it. Fifty percent of the kids who had Harbaugh sleep under their parents’ roofs ended up committing to him. Is that a good return on investment? Did the actual overnight stay have any influence on the decision? Those are all questions for a later time but for now OH LOOK, DEREK JETER AND TOM BRADY!!!
