Johnny Manziel: Judge Grants Protective Order to Colleen Crowley

A Tarrant County judge heard Colleen Crowley’s request for a protective order and granted her a protective order against Johnny Manziel. Crowley reportedly alleged that Manziel hit her, threatened to kill her, and smashed her cell phone, among other things.
A judge has signed a protective order keeping Johnny Manziel away from his girlfriend for 2 years and ordered him to pay 12k in legal fees.

The police have declined to charge Manziel, but this is a different standard of proof than a criminal charge, and that’s why this order was likely granted while the police investigations did not result in further criminal action at this time.
