Louisville To Self-Impose One-Year NCAA Tournament Ban According To Reports

Louisville is preparing a press conference for 1:30 p.m. today during which the school will make some kind of announcement regarding its basketball program. According to several local reporters, the school will announce a self-imposed, one-year NCAA Tournament ban.

This is obviously related to the prostitution scandal that has rocked the program over the past several months.

According to Jeff Greer of the Louisville Courier-Journal, the team’s coaches informed the players that they only had nine games left, which is the remainder of the regular season. The Cardinals are currently ranked 19th in the AP Poll and have an 18-4 record.
