Manny Pacquiao Called Gay People "Worse Than Animals"

Boxer Manny Pacquiao issued an apology for derogatory comments about gays during a television interview ahead of the Philippine elections. He called gay people worse than animals.
"“It’s common sense. Will you see any animals where male is to male and female is to female? “The animals are better. They know how to distinguish male from female. If we approve [of] male on male, female on female, then man is worse than animals.”"
Pacquiao initially defended his comment by pointing to the Bible.
He later clarified he is not “condemning LGBT” but remains in opposition to gay marriage due to his religious beliefs.
