Every golfer has bad days, and yesterday was one of those days for Jordan Spieth.

Spieth’s first round at the Northern Trust Open was horrible by his standards. It was the third worst round of his PGA Tour career. Just take a look at the current world number one’s score card.

"Via PGATour.com: “I shot 2-under [during his second round at Pebble Beach last week] and I was more miserable than I was today,” Spieth said. “It’s just a day to forget. … In the course of my career, I imagine it’s going to happen. Just unfortunate when it actually does.”"

Spieth made eight bogeys in the first round; last week at Pebble Beach he made six bogeys total. After finishing the 18th with a double bogey, Spieth sat at eight-over par and was tied for 142nd place.

After a round like that, the only place to go is the range.

It appears to have worked because Spieth is currently four-under in his second round, even after making back-to-back bogeys on 11 and 12.
