Kentucky Wildcats DE Jason Hatcher was arrested for “trafficking marijuana” after police found a quarter pound of marijuana during a traffic stop.

"Jason A. Hatcher, 21, was initially stopped for speeding, but he was arrested after a deputy found a quarter pound of marijuana during a search, Franklin County Sheriff Pat Melton told WKYT. Melton says the deputy approached the vehicle, smelled marijuana and told Hatcher he was going to search the vehicle. When the deputy went to put on gloves, he noticed Hatcher shuffling around in the car. After searching Hatcher, the deputy says he found a quarter pound of marijuana, Melton said."

Hatcher was cited for marijuana possession in 2014. He has been suspended multiple times for “violations of teams rules.”

The nation’s No. 181 overall recruit in 2013, Hatcher was seen as a recruiting coup for Mark Stoops. He had two sacks and 5.5 tackles for loss in nine appearances as a junior last season.
