Shane McMahon, who has been off WWE television since 2010, returned to WWE Raw tonight in one of the more genuinely shocking moments in recent pro wrestling history. He received an absolutely massive pop from the Detroit crowd.

As the storyline went, Shane O Mac returned seeking to re-take power of the company after Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, and her husband Triple H have been “running the company into the ground.” The television ratings have been bad recently, the storytelling worse, and many stars of consequence have been injured.

After some back-and-forth, Vince McMahon determined that his son will be fighting The Undertaker at WrestleMania in a Hell in a Cell match for control of the company.
