Tiger Woods Posts Swing Video to Squash "Worsened Condition" Rumors
By Michael Shamburger
Tiger Woods was somewhere between a wheelchair and being almost ready for tournament play, according to the reports we heard on Monday. Robert Lusetich and a Twitter account run by an anonymous PGA Tour pro both reported that Tiger’s back issues had “worsened,” and there was “no forseeable return.”
Later that day, Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg did what agents do best and proclaimed the rumors ridiculous.
Well, now we MAY have an answer. On Wednesday morning, Tiger uploaded a video of himself hitting an iron on his simulator.
" Progressing nicely. pic.twitter.com/HKnnluR1OW — Tiger Woods (@TigerWoods) February 24, 2016 "
Of course there’s no way to know whether this was before or after the reported setback. So basically we have a video of Tiger swinging a golf club from some time after his second surgery.
Maybe he’s almost ready, maybe he’s just trying to make us think he is.
Update: Mark Steinberg once again jumps to Tiger’s rescue and says the videos is from today.
