Lindsey Vonn Fractures Knee In Crash During World Cup Race

Lindsey Vonn has had her share of mishaps on the slopes in recent years, including missing the 2014 Winter Olympics thanks to an ACL tear. She ran into trouble again on Saturday.

The 31-year-old American skiing star was leading the Super G at Soldeu in Andorra by a wide margin when she lost control and crashed.

The crash didn’t look all that violent but Vonn later confirmed that she had a hairline fracture of her knee and will have an MRI on Monday.

Got caught in the soft snow today and crashed pretty hard. X-rays showed I have a hairline fracture in my left knee and will get an MRI Monday. I will wait and see how I feel tomorrow to decide if I can race. Will keep u updated. Thx for all of the support and well wishes. Means a lot! Vonn recently made headlines when she posed for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in body paint. While modeling is a side gig for her, Vonn is by far the greatest female American skier of all-time and might be the greatest regardless of gender. Here’s hoping she has a speedy recovery.
