Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan Still Have Equity in NWO Merchandise?

Ric Flair had Eric Bischoff on his CBS Radio podcast back in September, but I missed this snippet (which did get picked up by a few wrestling blogs) at the time and it just crossed my YouTube feed. As Flair was telling Bischoff, Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan collectively own half the rights to NWO merchandise—Nash bought out Scott Hall’s share and owns 34% while Hogan has a 16% stake.

This arrangement, which is presumably rooted in the banana republic that was late-era WCW, is apparently still quite lucrative at present day. Therefore, it came as a rude awakening to Kevin Nash when the NWO gear was pulled off WWE’s web site when the racist portion of Hulk Hogan’s sex tape leaked last year.

At the present juncture, NWO merch is back on the proverbial shelves at the WWE shop, though Hogan is conspicuous in his absence from the lead photo of Hall and Nash. (Down the page, however, there’s a print that does include Hogan.)
