Chase Utley Suspension For Ruben Tejada Slide Overturned

Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Chase Utley was suspended last summer, for this ugly slide that fractured Reuben Tejada’s leg. Utley’s two-game suspension was overturned on appeal, because the language of the previous rule was too vague.
"Last month, Major League Baseball and the players’ association agreed to outlaw “rolling blocks” and other potentially injurious attempts to upend middle infielders that are attempting to turn a double play. MLB imposed a two-game suspension on Utley before Game 3 of the NLDS, but Utley appealed and it was determined the language in the previous rule was too vague to uphold Utley’s suspension."
The world awaits Chase Utley’s next trip to Citi-Field. Last season’s Utley U Buttley and Chase Utley Heart’s Isis have set a rather high bar for 2016.
