DAngelo Williams: "Peyton Manning without the name would never have been in the NFL" Last Season

?? Why is it that while he's playing the media says he needs to retire then when he retires "he still can play"?? https://t.co/o5dexqOSI2

DeAngelo Williams must be setting himself up for some post-career media work because in the last couple years, he seems to be much more vocal than he was in his entire time in Carolina. Williams previously rode around with a live turkey in his car and shared a tidbit about nobody liking Bill Belichick. Now, on the day that Peyton Manning is about to retire, Williams dropped some truthbombs on the quarterback.
?u are kidding me right last year Peyton manning without the name would never have been in the NFL anywhere Pete?? https://t.co/C4PvxGztIh

Obviously, there’s no way to know for sure, but it’s a conversation that can and will be had.
?u went there Pete I knew u would travel down this dark alley and yes look at the stats without names and do a poll https://t.co/fcalatQd0Z

Perhaps Williams is just annoyed with this situation compared to the fact that he was almost done when the Panthers cut him last year. Maybe speaking candidly will give him the name he needs to keep working in football when his skills deteriorate to the level of Peyton Manning’s.
