Alex Morgan Scores Gorgeous Goal For U.S. Against Germany

Alex Morgan is one of the most popular women’s soccer players in the world, and on Wednesday night she reminded us why.

The 26-year-old striker showed her scoring prowess again as she scored a brilliant goal to tie up a U.S. Women’s National Team matchup with Germany in the 35th minute.

That was awesome. She chipped the ball over the defender, then volleyed it into the net. Sublime.

While Morgan has dealt with injuries over the past few years, when she’s healthy she’s one of the top pure goal-scorers in women’s soccer. Wednesday night’s goal marked the 64th time she’s found the back of the net in 108 national team appearances.
