Ben Simmons plans to sign with Klutch Sports, the agency funded by LeBron James, and be represented by LeBron’s agent Rich Paul, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski at The Vertical. Apparently, it has been an open secret for some time that this would probably be the case, as Klutch hired Simmons’ older sister Emily Bush in 2014 to work on marketing and branding, and LeBron has been serving as something of a mentor to Simmons.

Simmons has been the presumptive no. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NBA Draft for much of this past college basketball season. Though he averaged 19.2 points and 11.8 rebounds per game—very impressive numbers for a freshman—and showed glimpses of insane upside, his contributions were not nearly enough to ameliorate what was an objectively dreadful LSU basketball season. Whether knives come out in the form of leaks in the ensuing weeks remains to be seen.
