VIDEO: Jaromir Jagr Doesn't Want to Play Basketball With You Outside His Hotel

Jaromir Jagr and the Florida Panthers stayed in New York City this weekend with a game against the Islanders scheduled on Monday night. Yesterday, Jagr and Jiri Hudler went outside and were stopped by some young people who wanted to play basketball. Jaromir Jagr was cool about it, but he clearly didn’t want to play basketball.

Jagr posted video on his Facebook page with some smiley faces saying it was fun, but I think he was just being polite. (Which makes Jagr awesome, by the way.)

Watch as the kid throws the ball and Jagr – off-camera – doesn’t even take his hands out of his pockets. Eventually, Jagr takes the ball and dribbles a few times and even takes a shot at a garbage can. According to the video description, the doorman then makes a joke about “sticking to hockey.” I don’t think you need to worry.
