Arnold Palmer is a golf legend who has four green jackets in his closet and for the first time in at least 10 years, he won’t be hitting a ceremonial drive at the Masters. Palmer has been joined for the last three years by Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player for the tee shot, but the 86-year-old injured his shoulder in 2014 and apparently it has been bothering him enough that he won’t take part.

According to Golf Channel’s Tim Rosaforte, the golf legend informed Augusta National chairman Billy Payne on Monday that he won’t be swinging a club this year.
