The Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in Orlando, Florida starts on Thursday. It’s the last stop on the Florida swing, and while Jordan Spieth takes a much needed break after a busy start to his season and a little media tour he just finished up, many others are ramping up their seasons hoping for FedExCup points and a spot on the Ryder Cup team.

This week, the hottest player on the Tour joins the field again. After a three-week stretch of T2, win, win; the FedExCup leader, Adam Scott looks to continue his charge towards Augusta National. Of course Scott will have to face a talented field with Rory McIlroy coming off of his best performance of the season, a tie for third at the WGC-Cadillac Championship, and Jason Day who is looking to turn in a few good results before the Masters. Defending champion Matt Every will tee off with Kevin Kisner and Rory McIlroy. Every hasn’t had a great start to his season and has missed the cut in three of the six events he’s entered in 2016.

Unfortunately, the 86-year-old host of the tournament, Arnold Palmer, won’t be around as much this year.

"Via USA Today: “The best way to put it is that he’s feeling his age,” said Sam Saunders, his grandson who is in his second full year on the PGA Tour. “He’s 86. He’s had a wonderful life. He’s doing OK, but yeah, the body doesn’t work as well at that age and things slow down a little bit.”"

My Pick

This week I think I’ll go with Rory. After his performance at Trump National Doral, I think he’s ready to start picking up the pace.
