LeBron Sub-Grams Teammates With Tribute to Friendships With Melo, Chris Paul, and Dwyane Wade?

The Cavs lost in Utah on Monday and eked out a one-point victory over the Mavs last night. If and when LeBron James is asked about the Instagram collage above with Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, and Dwyane Wade he will pooh-pooh the question and might say that the media is reading too much into things. Maybe true!

But he’s the one talking about great friendships with his competition, and not with his teammates. This could be a motivational tactic, another tacit threat to leave Cleveland, or whatever we want it to be, because no matter what he says about it we’ll believe what we perceive on our own.

Yes, LeBron has been friends with these three and Chris Bosh for a long time, and they have bonds he wouldn’t have been able to develop with his current teammates yet. But, the playoffs are coming up and at the very least it’s a weird time for him to be bringing this up.

PS – it’s criminal that the banana boat photo op was excluded from this entry.
